I’ve used suction cup leash holders for years, but replacing them often when the suction cup would lose strength and fail. Ever have them slip and slide around on the tub wall while trying to restrain a pet? All the ones I’ve bought from grooming suppliers have been like this. So maddening. Until this one. I put this in my tub a few months ago and this thing hasn’t budged an inch. I also love the eye hook which swivels 360 and has been impervious to rust so far. I was initially reluctant to buy this due to its higher price…about 3x more than others I’ve purchased in the past, but this is much higher quality from what I’ve seen so far. Would buy again.I’m a dog groomer and this suction cup is obviously not meant for professional use in a grooming salon, but that’s not why I bought it. I got this to use occasionally when I groom at a family member or friend’s house. I have only tried it once so far with my own dog when he was covered in mud and needed a bath immediately. He’s a 50lb Australian Shepherd and he has very good manners during baths. We trained him to get in and out of the tub on command when he needed daily baths for a skin infection he had as a puppy so he does not try to get out of the tub unless I give him the command. However, he does lean his head as far over the edge as possible so I tried the suction cup to see if it would keep his head (and all of the drips) in the bathtub. It worked very well, went on easily, didn’t fall off and it kept my floor mostly dry (the grooming loop I had on hand was a bit too long or it would have been perfect). The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that this thing was absolutely AWFUL to remove! If I wasn’t planning on using this at someone else’s house, I would probably consider that a good thing and worry less about a big strong dog pulling it off, but I really don’t want to get it stuck and have to leave a giant suction cup in someones’ bathroom! This a great tool for someone grooming their dog in their own home, I just don’t know if it will work the way I originally hoped to use it.the suction hardly stays on and doesn’t have much of a length option. i would look somewhere else or use a different tool. probably wouldn’t buy again.Item broke after 6 months after maybe 10 uses. The suction power constantly gave in after 20 minutes of use.I purchased this to use for a husky rescue that we were bathing twice a week due to skin issues and I have no idea why it took me so long to think of getting one. I attached it to clean tile in a shower and it held until I removed it. Our husky weighs about 45 pounds so he's relatively small but it held him so we could use both hands to wash him. He's not terribly resistant but it was enough to keep him in the tub and it's easy to use and made bathing him so much easier. We have two other dogs that need bathing on occasion so I'm sure we'll use it again. Well worth the money even if we don't.I was very happy with the product, it kept the cats safe during the bath and kept them in the sink. I was right at the end of its 4th use, I turned the water off and reached for the towel and my little guy tried to jump and the suction cup broke. It surprised me stuff was flying at me, and the cat was free. After getting Samson dried and gathering up the pieces of the suction cup I was saddened to see that it didn't just break away from the window, it broke a component and no longer works. I am very disappointed because I really liked the product. I will update this once I speak with customer service.3/19/20: 2 days after reporting the failure I have the new product and the broken one has been returned. Its a great product, but when removing it make sure to pull the tag at the bottom and not twist. In looking at the video of the bath the cat had the line around the spigot which resulted in some torsion and caused the break.All in all if they had not replaced it I would have likely purchased another because it worked so well for what I needed.After getting skunked and defunked in the tub all night a few years ago, my Frenchie now acts like a limp noodle with ever bath. Kills my back trying to bathe him, do I got this before I gave up and took him to a groomer.This was very easy to use. I have a vinyl tub and surround, and the suction cup stuck to it solidly. The suction cup lever is very easy to use. The length of the coated cord seems good for any height dog. The loop lock seemed a bit odd to me, but is simple to use and locks tight. I had to adjust the height of the suction cup a couple times to get it at the right height for my dog's comfort, but still keep him from flopping down. I have arthritis in my hands and fingers and everthing worked with ease. I would recommend it for anyone who needs this sort of device to keep there pooch in place during baths.Personally this works wonders for my two aussies, but let me just say my two dogs (2year old 81lb & 3 month old 27lb) are very calm when it comes to grooming. I only purchased to help me keep them standing up when grooming. If your dog is strong and is one to panic while showering this thing will come right off after a few tugs. I tried showering my cousins 28 lb puppy who is not used to being groomed and the moment he panicked and tugged it came off. Overall great product compared to others on Amazon, but keep in mind it’s not that strong if your dogs a track starThe product is well made and sticks well to the side of the bath but it has two major faults:1. The noose is way too long. I am a professional groomer and have tried on both large and small dogs and both can easily move and jump about far too much. The noose is so long that essentially they can still almost jump out the bath.2. The noose is not detachable from the suction cup. This makes the entire item totally useless as I can't even switch the noose for a shorter one.All in all this is a very expensive waste of money. Will likely be returning it as it's no good for purpose.I purchased this product in order to wash my difficult puppy in my shower.. I tried it for the first time and overall it was a great success. I used a short lead to fasten him to the suction cup. Being able to use both hands is a distinct advantage, even though I didn’t manage to get him quite as clean as I would have liked, especially round the backs of his legs and under his Arms, but practice makes perfect. Better luck next time.This has by no means made bath time ‘fun’!..But it has massively helped and made it better.
