All dogs are different, but the leash hole extends from just *behind* the front leg holes to halfway between the front & rear legs. Who puts their dog's collar around their dog's chest?The leash hole is a just a humorous "zipper" that serves no practical purpose.My dog's collar rides just ahead of the coat, so it's not a big issue, and the coat fits pretty well. A rain hood would be aces.Lightweight, soft, stretchy and easy to get on and off. Perfect for 50 degree mornings in Vegas. I got this because of the zipper access for Sammy Dammit’s harness but quickly realized the vest is form fitting so it’s best to put the harness over the top of it. Apparently it’s very comfortable because Sammy Dammit, a senior 24# broken coat Parsons Russell, is happy wearing it for hours. I accidentally bought two which turned out to be a good thing, as he gets dirty at the dog park. Washes up well.The XL Fits my 40lb Golden retriever puppy.Very soft and stretchy.Love that it reflects, and the zipper on the back to hook the leash.Only down side is that I hook him on the front and there is no opening there.But still keeps him comfy in the chilly mornings. Took him a little to get used to, but now doesn't mind it, and will fit into it for a little while.I have bought numerous shirts for my dogs over the past several years. The quality of these by far surpasses any shirt I have purchased in the past. I have a very small Yorkie and hers fits fantastic. I also have a male Rat Terrier and his fit perfect as well. The great thing about this shirt for male dogs is the stomach is fitted high enough that he will not be peeing on his shirt each time he goes out.Very cute, fit well. I like the leash zipper. Has held up and seems to be warm enough for nighttime walks in southern California (Around 50 degrees.I couldn’t wait to get this for my 1 year old beagle. I got size large and it fits him perfectly. It’s very soft and keeps him warm.My puppy is 9lbs., a chihuahua, I measured and ordered a Small, when it arrived it looked too small, to my surprise it stretches so nicely, it's perfect. The material is soft and warm. I love it! It’s hard to find something long enough for her because she is half dachshund, and this fits her perfectly! The zipper for the harness is also very useful. She is wearing a size small.Excellent dog vest....loved it.....didn't fit......really wish it came in my dogs size. It was exactly what I wanted.
