I am new to composting and these bags have been working out fairly well. Just be careful when handling them, as they rip/tear easily, either when taking out from box or opening bag for use. I am able to get three to four days use in home before discarding. Starting collection with paper products aat bottom has helped in not having any leaks. (Only had one leak when I first started using them.)trash - seems to be working as expectedThese bags are stronger than other bags and seem to resist tears and holes.Will purchase again.This is a reorder. haven’t tried other brands yet since it seems to work just fine for the compost bucket. It isn’t as sturdy as it is advertised, particulary if your compost is a bit wet. But it’ll do. I noticed that most of the biodegradable products tend to be a bit tender than sturdy, but I like the idea of helping keep the earth a bit less polluted.Like many of you, I’m using these 1.6 gallon bags for use with the stainless 1.3 gal compost container with the carbon filter in the top.Like everyone else has said, they fit well and a rubber band holds them tightly. We’ve used them for about a month and they have not torn. I’m happy with that part of it.But, a big consideration for us choosing these bags is that they are advertised as leak free. Not for us apparently.Our compost is taken out once a week, and is composed of daily coffee filters filled with grinds, and a mix of vegetable and fruit scraps. We do not put sharp things in the bags like bones which could cause small tears and make them leak.I expect that due to these bags being compostable, putting warm or even hot coffee grinds in them for 5-7 days straight causes the bags to break down enough that they become permeable to liquids and leak. It’s a bummer, but we have to clean our compost bin weekly.Take out your compost more often you may say! Well, with the type and nature of what we put in our compost, 1 week does not result in any smells or other problems - except a leaking bag.Bags are nice but not as durable as I would like. Often have to double them up, maybe because I put too much stuff in and bags get heavy, but I like them!Be sure to check whether this is the correct size for your composting container!!! Alas, I learned the hard way it's far too small for the standard NYC countertop composting bins...The quality seemed fine (hence 4 stars), but I really couldn't use them. Ended up giving the box away to someone with a smaller compost bin.Watching a friends puppy and using her “regular” bags reminded me just how perfect these small bags are. It makes me feel a little less guilty about needing bags 3 times a day.These are good quality, strong bags, but the listing is a little misleading. They describe them as biodegradable and compostable, but they deliberately hide a note that is only visible once you purchase the product, that these are suitable for commercial composting only (i.e. that done by the local council or private companies). I bought these in the hope that I could more easily (and cleanly) gather materials for my home composting in a bag that were also environmentally friendly and would break down in the compost bin, but unfortunately these are not suitable for that.If you're looking for something suitable for your home composting, you'll have to look at alternatives.I have been using these Greener Walker 25% Extra Thick Compost Caddy Bin Liner (10L) for a long time. Having ordered these three times and set up an Subscribe and Save for this, too. However, my recent order of these bags were disappointing.The previous two orders both went very well. The bags are strong, sturdy, and fits my 8L bin perfectly with extra room at the top, allowing me to tie the bags up easily. (I intentionally ordered 10L bag for 8L bin, for that extra room and that bags dont get filled too full). Each box of the bags lasted me around 8 months.Now the issue came with the most recent order, in May 2022. The bags arrived in a plastic bag, not the previous card box as shown in picture 1. The roll also looks a lot smaller than previous batches.Side by side the printed wording on the bag is also slightly different. That's OK.The biggest difference is the quality: they are no longer sturdy bags! They are a lot thinner than before, and just keeps splitting when you seperate them off the roll. Even if I pull them out and seperate the bags very carefully, they'd split from the middle either when I line the bin, or when I lift the bag out from the caddy bin with food waste in - the latter obviously leaving a big mess all over kitchen. We started to use two bags a time, which still wasn't helping as the bags just split!Just over a month the roll of bags has almost none left. I didn't count how many bags there are, but I seriously doubt there were 120 of them. Same order lasted me 8 months in the past! Being so disappointed with these I ordered a different brand and cancelled my subscription of these bags.I still leave the bags 3 stars - they were really good and straight 5 stars! I hope it's just me got a bad batch.These bags are a great idea for the planet - but the ones i ordered are supposed to be 36cm long, as you can see from the picture they clearly are not so they didn't fit well in our mini bin. They are going back, unfortunately.I've been buying caddy liners from the supermarkets for ages, never even thought to buy them in bulk from Amazon. These had good reviews, and I have to say Im not disappointed at all. They feel so sturdy - they tear really easily from the pack and I have had zero leaks! Absolute 5* all around, I will almost certainly buy them again.These waste food caddy bags are excellent. Good quality and nice and thick so don't split like the ones provided by my local council sometimes do. I ordered the 6L bags and on reflection the 10L bags would have fitted the waste caddy a bit better and next time I'll order the larger size. The item arrived earlier than expected and are on a roll inside a cardboard holder. I recommend this product and will definitely order again when necessary.
